Let it snow

A tremendous afternoon was enjoyed at York Barbican to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of York's Annual Community Carol Concert.

A 1300 strong audience were entertained by York Musical Theatre Company, York Civic Youth Choir, Steve Cassidy Band, York Railway Institute Band, Cansing! along with Joanne and Angelina Warburton, Community Carols were conducted by new Musical Director Mike Pratt and the whole proceedings were held together by the Rev Andrew Foster.

Retiring musical director, John Warburton, had been insistant that he wanted to "go out with a bang" and I think the organisers delivered.

Snow fell during the latter half of the programme during Steve Cassidy's new Christmas song "We love the snow" and then during the sing-a-long medley of "Winter Wonderland" and "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas".
