Santa Stops to Shop

Staff at Morrisons store on Foss Islands Road were interuppted working by an unexpected visit from Santa Claus as he popped in to accept some Chrismas gifts to be handed to some lucky children attending the Carol Concert at York Barbican on Sunday 11 December.

The Lord Mayor of York and his Lady Mayoress had also called into the store to receive a hamper kindly donated by Morrisons.

Community Champion, Wendy Davis, filled Santa's sack with chocolates galore surrounded by Mark Buck, Store Manager and Paul Cole, Personnel Manager.

 Also present were Musical Director, Mike Pratt along with regular performer at the Carol Concert, Steve Cassidy, who were publicising those choirs and band taking part next week.
