Press name Chidren's Hospice as their nominated charity

We are absolutely delighted to announce that The Press have chosen Martin House Children's Hospice as their designated charity for the 2022 Carol Concert this December.

It is the first time that Martin House have been chosen to benefit from the event.

Michelle Ford, regional fundraiser for Martin House, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be chosen by The Press as one of the charities to benefit this year at the Community Carol Concert. Martin House Children’s Hospice relies almost entirely on voluntary donations, so this support is invaluable, as it allows us to continue to be there for children, young people and their families, across the region, when they need us the most.”

The Lord Mayor and Sheriff of York's Christmas Cheer Fund will of course be the other recipient as it has been for the last 63 years.

As an organising committee we feel it is only fitting that when so many children both appear and attend the concert that it is children less fortunate that are going to benefit at the festive time of year.
