Welcome to "The Island"

We are delighted to announce that The Press have nominated "The Island" as the charity to benefit from proceeds from the 2018 York Community Carol Concert.

The Island which is a local children’s charity supports vulnerable children and young people living in York (North Yorkshire) by providing them with mentoring services. The mentoring services have proven to enhance mental, emotional and social wellbeing whilst at the same reducing anti-social and criminal behaviour without our communities. The Island’s mentoring services can be access by children and young people ages 8-13, and to young people up to the age of 18 if they have additional needs.
